By juxtaposing and harmonizing forms, colors, and materials, drawing inspiration from similar ideologies – ranging from humanistic considerations of modernism to the rebellious spirit of Italian design from the 1970s, tinged with the raw expressiveness of Mexican art – each piece conveys an unclassifiable sense of rich cultural influences and a timeless and sustainable contemporaneity.

For the creator and founder, Irène Khiêt Blaise, beauty is not in the spectacular or extreme but resides in a delicate blend capable of evoking emotional resonance and reflecting the observer's individuality. Thus, navigating between the realm of the common and the territory of the extraordinary, Banh Studio skillfully strives to redefine the concept of "freshness" in the design world as an "effortless singularity," in the spirit of Parisian fashion.
Believing that design should be generous and warm, each object is imbued with deep consideration for functionality, comfort, and even ingenuity. The focus of her research is always on the dialogue between aesthetics and ways to enhance daily life.
In a sustainability-oriented approach, the quality of manufacturing and materials represents an essential pillar. Produced on demand or in small series, sourcing prioritizes local and environmentally friendly materials, as well as proximity to customers.
A unique aspect in the world of collectible design is that the objects are designed to be easily disassembled. Consequently, items can be delivered flat, reducing the environmental impact associated with transportation. The removable upholstery is designed to facilitate maintenance. Finally, this furniture design even anticipates its potential end of life through easy recycling.
Founded by the self-taught Franco-Vietnamese artist and designer Irène Khiêt Blaise, whose Mexican base adds another layer of cultural richness, Banh Studio carries the weight of a lifelong passion for artistic exploration. Irène's creative journey has spanned multiple disciplines—from initial sketches in childhood to a multi-faceted engagement with architecture, interior design, and various art forms, including painting and photography. Even DJing has informed her textured approach to design.
Born in Paris to Vietnamese parents, she lived in the Parisian region until relocating to Mexico in 2010.
